All battery holders are tested for manufacturing tolerances and strength prior to dispatch. Some surface artefacts may be present due to the way this product is manufactured.
Do not over-tighten or expose to temperatures ~50°C or greater. Vans or other vehicles regularly exceed this temperature in hot weather.
